Many times as Christians we can put our trust in our ability to be “righteous.” Or sometimes we succumb to the fact that we mess up and in an effort to be real put aside any effort to do what’s right.
How are we supposed to live then? Paul told us to continue in the Grace of God. We put our trust in God, not in our ability, and when we fail, we get back up with God’s help. We don’t stay in our sin, and however discouraging it is we choose every day to put our hope in God.

With all the judgement brought down by God it can be hard to see His relentless love. But God as He always does, had a plan. A plan that would totally change how things were done in the old testament. He would take on our punishment, the weight of our sins. God is still offering us His relentless love today. Jesus came and paid the price for our sins so that we could be redeemed.

Shame is a part of the process of being a Christian. It can make us want to run and hide from God or our friends and family. But when we can learn to master it and confront our problems, it makes us stronger. We must be willing to let go of our shame and our past and let God have control.

We ended today by talking about Adam and Eve sewing together fig leaves to hide themselves from God. Shame can cause us to do crazy things, and you should know that Satan uses it against us all the time.
Many times when we mess up rather than dealing with the problem, we hide, we lie, or we just run away. It’s time we face the truth and deal with the problem.
