Missions Department
“Go into all the world.” That is the command Jesus left His disciples, and it still echoes in hearts today. When people experience the goodness of God, they are compelled to share it. Our missions department sends teams around the world for evangelism outreaches, encouragement of local churches, and practical support and training for leaders. And through missions offerings, we have been able to support the work of long-time friends in other nations including Brazil, Moldova, India, Mexico, the Philippines, Thailand, Colombia, Haiti, Tanzania, and Egypt.
Building the local church is spiritual work, but it is also practical. Teams of volunteers have traveled to assist with building projects. Our children have raised thousands of dollars through annual “Penny Wars” to fund projects such as clean water pumps, feeding programs, orphanages, wheelchairs for the disabled, and relief containers. Heartland is also a place where people from other nations can come to serve God and receive training.
Most of all, we count it a privilege to be connected as brothers and sisters in the Family of God with these friends around the country and across the globe as we labor together for the Kingdom.

LOVING ONE ANOTHER DEEPLY, FROM THE HEART
Jesus taught that the highest virtues in terms of God’s Law are relational—to love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love your neighbor as you love yourself.
